Fluffy’s 2022 Goals

Happy New Year! Are you making resolutions this year? Regardless of whether you’re aiming for lofty goals or small changes, it’s probably safe to say that your cat will sleep through most of your activities. However, that doesn’t mean Fluffy has no goals of her own. A Tampa, FL vet lists a few of them below.

Sleep More

This probably isn’t much of a shock. Your pet will probably sleep through a good chunk of 2022. Make sure Fluffy has lots of comfy beds to choose from for all of those naps!

Avoid Car Rides

While there are a few kitties out there who don’t mind car rides, the majority of our feline friends are not fans. Sorry, Fluffy, you’ll probably need to leave your domain at least once this year. Regular veterinary care is a must!

Hairball Placement

Have you ever wondered if your furry little buddy deliberately leaves hairballs where they are most likely to get stepped on? You may need to curtail Fluffy’s plans for this one. If your pet is getting frequent hairballs, ask your vet to recommend a good preventative.

Work On The Pounce

Our feline buddies are instinctively driven to hunt, well, everything. Whether Fluffy is chasing actual birds and mice or toy ones, or just batting at a moth or dust bunny, your little buddy will unleash her inner lioness at least once in 2022.

Recharge Catteries

Cats don’t run on solar power. However, some of them apparently missed that memo. Fluffy will spend a decent amount of time snoozing in sunbeams this year. (You get bonus purrs for putting some of her kitty beds in bright spots.)

Spend Time With The Human

Fluffy has a way of wrapping us around her paws, and getting us to pamper her. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love you. Cats get very attached to their humans! In fact, they often get quite confused and distressed when we aren’t around. Pay attention to your kitty every day, and let her snooze on your lap if she likes. Our feline pals have a special way of both relaxing us and making us smile, which are both very precious gifts.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns about your pet’s health or care. As your Tampa, FL animal clinic, we look forward to providing great veterinary care in 2022 and for years to come!
